The WWE Universe can expect to see more of Chad Gable for years to come as the Olympian is said to be close to signing a new deal with the promotion.
Gable's contract with WWE was said to expire on June 7, despite the Alpha Academy leader being booked for WWE Clash At The Castle: Scotland. Gable will challenge Sami Zayn once again for the Intercontinental Championship at the first-ever WWE Premium Live Event in Scotland.
Despite reported interest from AEW, it now appears that Chad Gable will remain a WWE Superstar. WWE is in the final stages of negotiations with Gable, according to PW Insider Elite, though no official deals have been confirmed yet. With that said, everyone in WWE is working under the belief that he is sticking with the company.
This weekend's Intercontinental Championship match should give a clearer image regarding Gable's future. Should he win the title (which would be his first singles title) it'd all but guarantee that he is remaining with WWE. A loss to Zayn in Glasgow would no doubt leave fans wondering whether Chad plans to leave the company.
As one of the most technically gifted talents in WWE today, it's hardly a surprise that Gable's future has gathered the attention of fans and those in the wrestling business. While there will be no shortage of people who'd love to see Gable try his skills in AEW, TNA, New Japan or beyond, right now it appears that he will share his talents with a global audience as a WWE Superstar.
