WWE superstar Drew McIntyre is having fun reveling in his rival CM Punk's constant misfortune. McIntyre was unintentionally responsible for Punk's injury at the Royal Rumble on January 27, which has kept the 'Straight Edge Superstar' out of action since.

Alongside gloating about injuring Punk on TV, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion continues to take jabs at his rival on social media. After Punk's recent appearance at NXT Battleground, McIntyre couldn't help but mock him again.

Punk attended the premium live event to witness NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez defend her title against TNA Knockout's Champion Jordynne Grace. Both superstars put on a great back-and-forth match, showing why they are among the best wrestlers in the world. However, the match ended in controversy, with Tatum Paxley and Ash by Elegance distracting Grace for Perez to retain.

After the match, Punk confronted Perez backstage to advise her that she could've lost her title if Paxley and Grace hadn't interfered. The champion responded by being dismissive and referring to him as a hypocrite. Perez's actions surprised fans and Punk, as she idolized the 'Straight Edge Superstar' and his wife AJ Lee. The purpose of the backstage segment was for WWE to continue establishing Perez as a 'Heel' in NXT.

Regardless, McIntyre couldn't wait to comment on social media about Perez disrespecting Punk after the PLE. On X, McIntyre joked that the people who used to adore his rival are tired of him in WWE.

Punk has yet to respond, but McIntyre's remarks continue to get fans excited for when they can settle their differences in the ring.

McIntyre will challenge WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at Clash At The Castle at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scottland, on June 15. 'The Scottish Warrior' aims to become champion once again and win the title in front of his family. However, fans are predicting that Punk may cost him the match.

Punk was responsible for McIntyre losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Priest at WrestleMania 40 on April 7. The former All Elite Wrestling superstar has also been off TV as McIntyre continues to taunt him. Punk could make a surprise appearance at the upcoming PLE to get revenge and ensure his rival doesn't get his moment.

It may not be wise for McIntyre to keep antagonizing Punk ahead of the biggest match of his career.
