Toma Tonga's career in WWE is off to a hot start after joining two months ago. He debuted on the April 12 episode of Friday Night Smackdown after a successful 14 years with New Japan Pro Wrestling. WWE quickly introduced Tonga as a superstar by making him a new member of The Bloodline(Roman Reigns, The Rock, Solo Sikoa & recently Tonga Loa).
After joining the faction, Tonga has been featured prominently on WWE TV. He made his in-ring debut alongside Sikoa to defeat Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a Tag Team Street Fight Match at Backlash on May 4. WWE also showcased Tonga in singles action by having him compete in the 2024 Men's King Of The Ring tournament. He would make it to the semi-finals before losing to Orton in the main event of the May 24 episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
So far, he has won four matches on TV and has been treated as Sikoa's 'Right Hand Man' while Reigns is inactive. Tonga's career in the company is going so well that he is reportedly turning heads with his work.
In the recent Wrestling Observer Radio episode, Dave Meltzer shared that Tonga is impressing everyone in WWE with his performance. It's unclear if the company will continue to feature him as a singles competitor or if he'll team with his brother Loa moving forward. However, WWE is showing fans they are still invested in The Bloodline and may have bigger plans for the faction this year.
As The Bloodline continues to cause havoc on Smackdown, fans wonder if WWE will add more members soon. It's been reported that former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu has signed with WWE and could join the faction. Adding Fatu would make the group more fearsome as they look to dominate the WWE roster. However, it seems another member may be joining as well.
Bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes has reported that Hikuleo has ended his run with the NJPW and is expected to sign with WWE. If he joins the company, he will likely join his brothers (Tonga & Loa) to become a member of The Bloodline.
Wrestling fans questioned if the dominance of The Bloodline was over after Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 on April 7. However, the faction is slowly becoming more dangerous than it was before.
