Some WWE fans consider WrestleMania 40 one of the greatest WrestleMania events of all time. A big part of the event's success was due to The Rock and his role in The Bloodline vs Cody Rhodes saga. The Great One even stepped into the ring, teaming up with his cousin Roman Reigns on Night 1 and getting physical on Night 2.

Following The Tribal Chief's loss to the hands of The American Nightmare, The Rock left WWE programming vowing to return to go after Cody Rhodes for what he had done to his family. Now, those plans might be in motion.

During a recent interview with ESPN, The Rock made it clear that he's already planning on making WrestleMania 41 another blockbuster event. While the interview was mainly a retrospective piece on The Rock's return to professional wrestling, he notes he wants to do even more.

"We're on the 1-yard line to create the biggest WrestleMania of all time and the biggest match of all time at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas," The Rock said. "I'll just leave it at that, Final Boss style."

While these comments do not fully reveal WWE's plans for next year's Showcase Of The Immortals, they demonstrate that the company is looking to involve The Rock in the main event scene again. The WWE Universe has been speculating as to what The Rock's next match would be, with many predicting that it could come in two forms: One-on-One with The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes or a about with his flesh and blood, Roman Reigns.

Upon his most recent departure from WWE, The Rock began filming his new movie project, "The Smashing Machine." The film is based on the life of former professional wrestler and MMA legend Mark Kerr. Kerr famously competed in the early days of UFC, winning the promotion's 14th and 15th tournament championships.

Recently, The Rock announced that he suffered an elbow injury while filming his upcoming movie. On his Instagram account, The Final Boss revealed that he sustained a ruptured bursa sac.

"Elbow got kissed by the boo boo monster 👹 💪🏾
No extensive tissue damage. Ruptured bursa sac that will eventually heal.
I’ve had much worse, and as always let pain - and tequila - be the guide 😈
Back to work."

What will The Rock's role be as WWE marches closer and closer to WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas? Nobody knows for sure. However, it's safe to say that the TKO board member will have his hands on plans and creative direction for a long time.
