WWE and TMNT are teaming up with a series of new figures of current Superstars in attires inspired by the beloved hero franchise.

This week, fans and figure collectors alike got their latest look at three of the new figures. The set includes Rey Mysterio in Raphael-inspired attire, complete with the bruiser's signature weapons. Seth Rollins makes for quite the Leonardo with the Turtle leader's signature swords.

Cody Rhodes rounds off the group as Casey Jones, a long-time ally of the Ninja Turtles. Like the real Jones, Rhodes comes with a hockey stick and baseball bat as weapons, as well as a hockey mask, now painted with his American Nightmare insignia.

These aren't the only figures fans can expect in this line-up. In April, it was reported that Xavier Woods would have a Donatello-inspired figure while Kofi Kingston will portray Michaelangelo. Roman Reigns will also be part of the line-up as TMNT villain Shredder.

There is a surprisingly long history of WWE and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming together, both on and off-screen. In 1991, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze saw Kevin Nash play Shredder in the feature film debut of Big Daddy Cool. 25 years later, Sheamus would play Rocksteady in 2016's TMNT: Out of the Shadows. More recently, John Cena voiced Rocksteady in TMNT: Mutant Mayhem.

WWE has also seen turtles compete in the ring, though they weren't official TMNT characters. Instead, these 'Battling Turtles' bore a striking resemblance to Raphael and Michaelangelo and competed in just one match on The Wrestling Challenge. The duo was played by Duane 'Gillberg' Gill and Barry Hardy.
