Joe Hendry became one of TNA Wrestling's breakout stars, and he used that momentum to secure himself a guest spot on NXT this week. After this cameo, it is apparent that NXT fans believe in Joe Hendry.

This week's episode of NXT began with a battle royal for the #1 contender spot for Trick Williams' NXT Title. Fans were surprised when Joe Hendry, a frequently trending pro wrestler from another company, appeared.

Joe Hendry cut a promo in front of the NXT Arena, and fans chanted along with him. His popularity clearly extended beyond TNA, as NXT fans were excited to see him.

Cody Rhodes hinted that some battle royal competitors might not be from the NXT locker room, and Joe Hendry fit that description. However, Hendry was eliminated early in the match, leading to "bullsh*t" chants from fans that were bleeped out on the USA Network.

In the end, this battle royal contained a few competitors who weren't from NXT. Apollo Crews, Frankie Kazarian, Tyler Bate, Joe Hendry, Angel Garza, Dragon, Humberto are the non NXT talent who wrestled in the match.

Frankie Kazarian, who represented TNA, was also in the match. He lasted a lot longer, as he was one of the last to be eliminated. In the end, NXT fans were left wanting more Hendry.

In the end, Joe Hendry also teased more NXT appearances down the road, whenever they may come around. He was quite upset about his early elimination in the battle royal, and he made it clear that he can appear "at any time on any show."

It's uncertain if Joe Hendry will appear in NXT again, but his cameo brought a strong reaction from fans. Previously, Jordynne Grace had crossed the Forbidden Door between WWE and TNA, facing Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title at Battleground. Although Grace was unsuccessful, it opened the possibility for more TNA stars on NXT.

Tatum Paxley also went the other way through that Forbidden Door recently. She showed up at TNA Against All Odds to challenge Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Title. Odds are, we haven't seen the last of this partnership between brands. This cohesion between pro wrestling companies is also a very clear sign that Vince McMahon is nowhere to be seen in the picture anymore, because he would have never agreed to something like this.
