AFTER 18 DAYS IN RELEASE, WWE'S THE MARINE FINALLY GROSSES MORE THAN SEE NO EVIL

As of October 30th, The Marine has grossed $15,550,272 after 18 days in release. For those who are curious, the film has dropped substantially since the opening weekend, which was responsible for almost half of the total gross so far.

The weekend the film opened (October 13th), the film was shown in 2,545 theatres, and pulled in $7,138,774, allowing the movie to finish at sixth for the weekend. The following weekend (October 20th), the film remained in the same number of theatres, but saw revenue drop by almost half, taking in only $3,795,160 for the weekend and a ninth place finish. This past weekend (October 27th) the film only ran in 1,868 theatres and pulled in $1,885,388, finishing 15th. With the holiday movie season about to kick in, the number of theatres carrying the Marine will likely be reduced greatly this coming weekend.

See No Evil, WWE Film's summer horror release starring Kane, pulled in $15,387,513 in total grosses, with $15,032,800 coming domestically. However, when you compare the amount of promotion the two films received (and the fact that Marine had a much larger production budget), WWE has to be disappointed that after three weekends, only now has The Marine managed to surpass the horror flick.
