Bob Sapp and WWE have not come to terms on a five-year contract. We noted the two sides starting talking back on 10/15 in Los Angeles. Had the MMA star signed a deal, he was slated to work an angle at the 10/29 Smackdown tapings. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the sides continue to talk. WWE wants him full-time, but as previously noted, Sapp has movie projects and MMA matches on the table, and WWE wants to sign him to a downside guarantee deal, which appears to be the hold up in contract talks.
On a side note, Nikkan Sports has a report claiming that Sapp is likely headed to WWE shortly. Sapp is being represented by Henry Holmes, who is also Hulk Hogan's long-time representative.
