ECW As A "Penal Colony", RVD's Title Chances, Kelly's Exposé
As of late, ECW has become the "penal colony" for people who SmackDown head writer Michael Hayes has no interest in using on SmackDown. That explains the recent defections of Sylvester Terkay, Elijah Burke, The Great Khali and Daivari from SmackDown to ECW.
In recent weeks, Vince McMahon has gone from being adament against Rob Van Dam becoming the ECW World Heavyweight Champion to where it may have to happen because they don't have many options.
