Vince McMahon's personal assistant/right hand woman Beth Zazza has left the company. The upper management got told the news today. No reason as to why was given in the memo.

She was very trusted by Vince McMahon and has been his personal assistant for years. This is definitely be huge a loss for Vince.

The SmackDown! rating from last week scored a 2.6 broadcast rating, with a 4.4 share, according to Nielsen Media Research.

From time to time, Jay Leno does a segment wherein ordinary people pitch their ideas for a TV show to the TV industry ... and the audience is to guess whether the show idea was sold or not. Well, Wednesday night, Brian Knobs, formerly of the Nasty Boys, pitched his idea for a TV show called "Trailer Park Justice." It sold. No mention was made of Knobs' previous occupation but he still looked and dressed like a Nasty Boy. (Thanks to Dave Barry)

UFC Middleweight champion Rich Franklin had successful surgery to repair his badly broken left hand which he suffered during his victory over David Loiseau at UFC 58. Franklin had seven screws inserted into his hand, which was injured in the second round of what turned out to be a full five-round battle. The expected time for recovery is six to eight months.
