J.R. Speaks On New Contract; Layla El On Mag Cover, Dave Taylor
Jim Ross has posted a blog entry on his official website regarding the new one-year contract he just signed with WWE. According to Ross, he signed the contract on Monday. He still enjoys his job, however, he wants to take things one year at a time because he doesn't want to outlive his welcome nor does he want to stay past his time if his work was to suffer. Also, he's getting older (he'll turn 55 in January) and dealing with the amount of traveling required for the job can be quite a hassle. This is why J.R. signed a one-year deal rather than a long-term one. Click here for J.R.'s blog. (http://jrsbarbq.com/blog/2006/11/23/jr-responds-to-contract-signing-feedback/)
SmackDown Diva Layla El is on the cover of the premiere issue of LIQUID Magazine (December 2006), which is a mens lifestyle publication. However, the magazine may be difficult to find on newsstands because the publication was just launched.
For people who didn't catch last night's edition of SmackDown, the injured Dave Taylor accompanied William Regal to the ring for his match with Brian Kendrick. It doesn't look he'll actually be wrestling for quite time, but it looks like he can at least take a few minor bumps. Last month, Taylor suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee which left him injured and unable to wrestle for three to four months.
