ECW STARS COMMENT ON HEYMAN'S LEAVING, TWO WWE DIVAS IN PLAYBOY
WWE continues to blur the reality/storyline elements of Paul Heyman being sent home with an article on the ECW subsite where stars comment on his dismissal. As with many WWE.com articles, there seems to be shoot comments mixed in with wrestlers staying in character. For example, Rob Van Dam, who in the storylines has been feuding with Heyman for months, says "I think that without Paul fighting for the better direction to take ECW I fear that it's in for some horrible changes". On the flip side, Matt Striker is quoted as saying ""During a hurricane, some trees fall, others remain standing. During a hurricane, some houses fall, others remain standing. But the fishing is always better after the hurricane has passed."
The article also has quotes from Tommy Dreamer (says he is shocked), Stevie Richards (wishes Heyman luck in his "future endeavors"), Elijah Burke and Little Guido and you can read the full article by clicking here (http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/news/extremistdivded).
WWE.com has noted that ECW interviewer Rebecca DiPietro and Smackdown's ... actually, I don't know what you would call her, Maryse Ouellet, both former Diva Search contestants, are in the December 2006 issue of Playboy magazine in a feature that includes some of their "past modeling work" for Playboy. Click here for the WWE.com item. (http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/divasinplayboy)
Speaking of WWE.com, they have an item featuring quotes from Bobby Lashley and John Cena, who appeared on FOX News’ Your World with Neil Cavuto to discuss WWE's tour of Iraq. At the end of the interview, Lashley notes that the tour was "purely voluntary" for the wrestlers. Insert your own Rob Van Dam comment here. Click here to check it out.
