New rock supergroup seeks singer

Three of the world's heaviest rockers have teamed up to form a super group - and one lucky Australian could become their frontman.
Called Supernova, the band comprises Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Metallica guitarist Jason Newstead and Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.
While the musicians are eager to perform together, the band is missing a key ingredient - a lead singer.
They're hoping to find one through reality TV show Rock Star, and will bring auditions to Australia in their search for a frontman.
"Starting a new band with old friends on worldwide television is going to be a blast," said Lee.
"And we're going to pull out all the stops to find the most charismatic and musically talented lead singer to front Supernova. I love breaking the rules."
Lee and the boys will use the same reality series as Australian rock bank INXS to find their "chosen one", with the process all captured on television.
Last year Canadian J D Fortune shot to fame after being picked to take the place of the late Michael Hutchence on FOX8's Rock Star.
But unlike last year's production, the Supernova frontman search will include Australia, with the local leg of the audition tour to kick off in Melbourne on March 28 before heading to Brisbane and Sydney.
The new lead singer will be chosen from 16 hopefuls hand-picked from around the world, with the winner recording an original album with Atlanta's Butch Walker and their fellow Supernova band mates.
Walker has worked with some of the hottest names in showbiz including Avril Lavigne and Pink.
Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Dave Navarro and model and television personality Brooke Burke will return as hosts of the second series of Rock Star.
"Last year, doing ROCK STAR: INXS was the greatest summer job of my life," Navarro said.
"This year, I'm on the couch with my friends Tommy Lee, Gilby Clarke and Jason Newstead as they choose Supernova's lead singer."
