SNME Notes, Two Networks Battle, TNA @ WWE Show, More
By Steve Carrier

03/18/2006 - Saturday Night's Main Event is featured on NBC.com's main banner, noting "New, Tonight 8/7CT - A battle of guts and glory!" SNME returns to NBC after 13 years tonight in primetime. WWE is hoping for huge ratings, and Saturday Night's Main Event will be a failure if it doesn't do well in the ratings. NBC has airing promos for their show all over the network, including primetime. It also has been heavily promoted on WWE programming.

On last night's Friday Night SmackDown! on UPN, WWE was unable to note what network Saturday Night's Main Event will be on. Instead, they stayed saying different things UPN would allow (tomorrow night, tomorrow in Detroit, etc.). UPN would not even let WWE say the name of the show. The reason being is that UPN and NBC are two broadcast networks and aren't allowed to mention each other due to competition. Keep in mind, USA Network is allowed to plug the show due to USA being apart of NBC Universal.

WWE.com's Velocity & Heat are now up on the website for the week.

Tonight's Saturday Night Main Event show will air LIVE from Detroit, Michigan, close to last night's TNA House Show, so we are expecting some TNA stars backstage at the show tonight. Stay tuned to this site for more details.
