See No Evil Sales, Quick Review On Booker's Show & More

- Kane's 'See No Evil' movie has generated another $2.6 million in rental receipts sending its total to $9.72 million as of the 17th of December. Funny enough this movie might generate more money than John Cena's 'The
Marine' due to its low budget, average marketing spending and good home video rentals. The movie did a total domestic gross of $15,032,800 and cost $8 million to produce apart from the marketing campaign. 'The Marine' did a total of $18,748,516 in domestic gross but had higher production budget and WWE spent millions more in promotion. The next WWE Films movie will be 'The Condemned' with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the leading actor.

- WWE has been performing quite well in the Yahoo! Buzz Index as searches for the keyword 'WWE' have been constant in the top overall searches. As of this writing, it is placed seventh, with 199 consecutive days on the list
beating out other keywords such as 'iPod', 'NFL', 'Nintendo Wii' and others. Also, 'Smackdown! vs RAW 2007' is in the third place when it comes to searches related to 2007.

- For the former WWE and WCW mat star Bret "The Hitman" Hart, playing the Genie in the new Christmas pantomime Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, which opened on Boxing Day at the National Arts Centre, is a chance to focus on his first love -- an acting career -- after suffering a major stroke in 2002.

"Playing at the Jubilee Auditorium in front of a hometown crowd was a real thrill for me," Hart recalls. "When I was a kid, we used to go there to see concerts and games. Being there brought back a lot of memories."

- About 400 fans showed up for King Booker and Queen Sharmell's first night of pro wrestling last week at the Pasadena Convention Center. WWE stars Umaga and Boogeyman won their matches, and diva Torrie Wilson made a special appearance.

Royalty ruled as King Booker beat Charlie Haas in the main event. After the match, Haas' tag-team partner Shelton Benjamin snuck into the ring and helped Haas pound the daylights out of King Booker. Sometimes it's not good to be the king.

When, oh when, will the referees start enforcing the rules in pro wrestling?

This bit of chicanery will be avenged Jan. 25 when King Booker brings wrestling back to the Pasadena Convention Center. Haas and Benjamin meet La Resistance in the top match.
