28 Dec WWE Raw House Show Results - East Rutherford, NJ
Just got back from the Raw house show at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Sold out crowd. WWE claimed that 20,411 people were there.
1. CRYME TYME defeated THE WORLD'S GREATEST TAG TEAM
Decent opener. JTG kicked Haas in the back of the head when the referee was being distracted by Shelton, which allowed Shad to pick up the pin.
2. OLEG PREDIOUS defeated VAL VENIS
Predious is pretty green. Not a good match, and Predious won with a move similar to Abyss's shock treatment move.
3. CADE & MURDOCH defeated THE HIGHLANDERS
Cade & Murdoch won with their lariat combo. Surprising to see a heel victory in this type of match.
4. MICKIE JAMES defeated VICTORIA to retain the women's title
Okay match. Victoria went for the widow's peak but Mickie reversed it into a sunset flip to pick up the win.
5. JEFF HARDY defeated CARLITO and JOHNNY NITRO in a triple threat ladder match to retain the intercontinental title
Good match, with the usual ladder match spots. There were two ladders, and Hardy knocked Nitro off of his, and grabbed the belt.
It was an intermission where they played themes of wrestlers that nobody could hear.
Back from intermission, Maria comes out for kiss cam. I guess WWE forgot that there is no titantron. They just had a guy stand in the ring with a camera even though the crowd couldn't see anything. Viscera came out and starting dancing with Maria. He wanted a kiss, but Maria didn't want to kiss him. This lead to....
6. JIM DUGGAN defeated VISCERA
Eugene came out, distracted Viscera, and Duggan rolled Viscera up. That's right, the new heel Eugene ran around like a face and helped Duggan win.
7. TRIPLE H, SHAWN MICHAELS, & RIC FLAIR defeated RANDY ORTON, EDGE, & KENNY in a no disqualification six-man tag match
All six guys brawled in the crowd to start things off. The heels beat up on Flair for a while. A chair was being used for a little while, and then Triple H got his sledgehammer. Orton and Edge left the ring, leaving Kenny by himself. Triple H hit Kenny with the sledgehammer, and then HBK gave Kenny sweet chim music to pick up the win for his team. After the match, Triple H gave Kenny a pedigree.
It was announced that in August, Summerslam would be back in New Jersey. Tickets already go on sale on Saturday.
8. JOHN CENA defeated UMAGA by disqualification to retain the WWE title
Armando did some great mic work before the match. He did really funny stuff at ringside throughout the match. Umaga dominated the majority of the match. The crowd was really into Cena, and there weren't many boos. Umaga went for the samoan spike, but Cena blocked it, and locked in the STFU, where Armando came in to cause the dq.
Overall it was a pretty good show. They were checking signs before the show, and two noticeable signs that got taken away by security read "TNA" and surprisingly, "Orton & Edge: Suck It".
2nd House Show Report
Ok, this was almost the same as the Rochester Results.
(1) Cryme Tyme over WGTT-Good match, crowd was well into it.
(Only difference, Venis vs. Kozlov first)
(2) (lol,My Uncle loved the Ukraine guy) Kozlov over Venis (before the match, Venis gave the towel to a guy...um))
(2)Cade and Murdoch over The Highlanders.
(4) Mickie James over Victoria (Women's championship)
(5) Jeff Hardy over Carlito and Nitro w/Melina (Crowd was huge over Hardy) (Ladder Match)
-Intermission
Kiss Cam Segment-Finkel Introduced Maria and began a Kiss Cam segment. Viscera came out then bossed Maria Around, Hacksaw came out, yeah same as Rochester. Eugene helped Duggan win. (Note: Fans chanted usa, My Uncle chanted "Ukraine")
(6) Hacksaw over Viscera
(7) DX & Flair over Kenny D. and Rated RKO (No DQ match) (crowd was hot for DX)
-Finkel announced Summerslam will come to the Continental Arena 8-26-07-
(8) (AAE does the same thing, crowd gives heat, then Cena comes out, Mostly Women and Children cheered, Men did most of the booing, still got a decent pop, I cheered to support the kids in my Section)
