The National Championship is on everyone’s mind, including a famous former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar.

WWE’s The Animal traveled to Cardboard Heroes at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville Sunday to sign autographs for loyal fans.

“Everybody knows me as The Animal and The Road Warriors’ Legion of Doom with the WWE and the WCW, when it was around. We’re probably one of the most decorated tag teams ever in the history of professional wrestling. Now, for the last year, [people] probably know me more from my son, James, who plays football for Ohio State. He’s a middle linebacker,” explains The Animal a.k.a. James Laurinaitis’ father.

The Animal was joined by fellow former wrestler Virgil, who thinks that wrestling, not football, is the number one sport.

“WWE is still the best entertainment in the world today. You have wrestling and you have football,” comments Virgil.

Over one hundred people attended the signing.
