WWE News and Notes
- Due to Triple H's knee injury, the finish of the DX-Rated RKO match at last night's New Year's Revolution PPV was changed during the match due to the no contest finish.
- According to Dave Meltzer, Monty Brown is resting up an injured knee before debuting in WWE. Brown was originally scheduled to debut in ECW, but those plans may have changed.
- WWE drew 20,411 fans for a sellout to its Raw house show in East Rutherford, New Jersey on 12/28. The main event pitted Ric Flair, Shawn McMichaels and Triple H against Edge, Randy Orton and Kenny Dykstra.
- ECW drew 194,000 Canadian viewers on 12/22 (or about a 1.2 rating) for the show headlined by Bobby Lashley vs. Heyman's security contest. Smackdown on the same night, drew 184,000 Canadian viewers (roughly a 2.3 rating).
- The final rating for the 12/22 Smackdown was a 2.87 broadcast rating.
- For 2006, Smackdown averaged a 2.46 cable rating. Click here for all wrestling ratings last year.
- CMLL advertisted Rey Mysterio Jr. appearing at a 12/25 house show, which drew a good house. Of course, WWE didn't allow Mysterio to make an appearance.
- Not a good '06 ending for former WWE superstar Psicosis. Once again working as Nicho in Mexico for CMLL, Psicosis got his nose shattered in a match by Hijo del Misterio (accidently), and got his head shaved and rushed to a nearby hospital to get his nose set. Ouch. WWE officially released Psicosis in October.
- On Saturday, Sgt. Slaughter will be signing autographs at Omega Sports in Niagara Falls, NY from 6 to 8PM.

I noticed @ NYR that they seemed to be waiting for somethng during the DX match and then as soon as they had permission, HBK just took the lead and finished the match.
