The following took place on Tuesday in Kansas City, MO:
Dark Match:
- Scotty 2 Hotty defeated Sean O'Haire.
WWE Velocity Tapings (For WWE.com Webcast):
- The Gymini defeated Paul London & Brian Kendrick.
- Orlando Jordan defeated Ace Steele.
- Vito defeated Funaki.
WWE Friday Night SmackDown Tapings:
- The show opens with Rey Mysterio coming out and calling out Randy Orton. Kurt Angle comes out instead and he also calls out Randy Orton. Orton eventually comes out and runs down both Angle and Mysterio, suggesting the two should fight each other. GM Teddy Long comes out and makes Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Title tonight and also announces The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry (this would turn out to be a bonus match for the live crowd). Long also has security escort Orton out of the building tonight.
- Backstage, a shot of an upset Randy Orton being escorted out of the arena is shown.
- WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit defeated Road Warrior Animal.
- Backstage, Benoit runs into JBL. He congratulates Benoit on being able to beat Road Warrior Animal, calling him a great technical wrestler. JBL adds that he also beat another great technical wrestler, Eddie Guerrero. Benoit adds that it is a good thing JBL's hand isn't broken anymore because he will need it at WrestleMania when he taps out.
- JBL defeated David Cross.
- "Pirate" Paul Birchill defeated Booker T via countout. The match ended with Boogeyman coming out, taking Sharmell away and leaving. Booker ran up the aisle to the back scared to cause the countout.
- Matt Hardy, Tatanka & Bobby Lashley defeated WWE Tag Team Champions MNM & Fit Finlay.
- Mark Henry came out to the ring in a suit. The ring was filled with black carpet and some memorial wreaths along with a podium. Henry did a speech speaking about all the people Undertaker beat at WrestleMania and how this year is going to be different.
- Psicosis & Super Crazy defeated Kid Kash & Jamie Noble.
- Backstage, Booker T finds Sharmell in a pile of worms.
- Kurt Angle defeated Rey Mysterio to retain the World Heavyweight Title. After the match, Angle leaves the ring going up the aisle when Randy Orton appears from under the ring and gives Rey Mysterio an RKO. Orton gets on the mic and tells Angle he will beat him this Sunday at WrestleMania to become the new World Champion. Angle comes back to the ring, gives Orton an Angle Slam and then applies the Ankle Lock. Orton taps out and Angle poses with the World Title.
Post-Taping Bonus Match:
- The Undertaker defeated Mark Henry.
