New Delhi - Top Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after complaining of chest pains, the hospital spokeswoman said on Monday.
The 36-year-old actor was rushed to Lilavati hospital late on Sunday, with media reports saying he had been working very hard recently and could have over-exerted himself.
"He is under intensive care and an angiography test has been conducted on him," said hospital spokesperson Vaishali Rajpara.
"He is doing well now but he may be kept under supervision in the hospital for a couple of days, maybe a week, but he is certainly out of danger".
Khan is the son of former India cricket team captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore, a former actress and chief of the country's censor board.
His latest film Eklavya was released on Friday where he stars alongside veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Khan has been in around 40 movies and won acclaim for his acting in last year's Omkara, a Bollywood's version of William Shakespeare's Othello.
