The Police had hits with Every Breath You Take and Roxanne
Reunited pop group The Police have announced the dates for their European tour, starting in the Swedish capital Stockholm on 29 August.
They have confirmed four UK gigs during September and October - in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff - with tickets going on sale on Friday.
They will also visit Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.
The hugely successful band have reformed 23 years after drifting apart.
There will be further announcements about dates in Belgium, Denmark, Italy and Switzerland, according to a statement on the group's website.After their Stockholm date, they move to the National Indoor Arena (NIA) in Birmingham and London's Twickenham Stadium.
Singer Sting, guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland will perform at the AOL Arena in Hamburg, the Amsterdam Arena and Prague's Sazka Arena.
Concerts at the Stadthalle in Vienna, the Munich Olympiastadion and Barcelona's Olympic Stadium will follow, all of them in September.
And the final four gigs to be confirmed for the moment are at the Stade de France in Paris, Dusseldorf's LTU Arena, the MEN Arena in Manchester and Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
The Police's world tour begins in the Canadian city of Vancouver on 28 May, and shows in several US cities have already sold out.
