WWE was brought up on 60 MINUTES last night. They did a piece on Simon Cowell of American Idol. Simon was working as a record executive in London. He saw that whenever WWF came to town they would sell out all of the arenas over there and he had the idea to do a "wrestling album" where the WWF wrestlers would sing, knowing that the people over there would spend money on and buy it. They played a clip from the Randy Savage Video ""DIG IT"". Anderson Cooper, who was doing the interview, asked Simon that the fact that the wrestlers couldn't sing at all made no difference. Simon said didn't matter if they could actually sing. And then Anderson Cooper read a quote from a newspapers years ago in London that called him the "anti-christ of the music business" because of that wrestling album. He laughed and said it didn't matter to him.

Well, that's the way it is nowadays. No matter the talent a person has, he or she get packaged by their attention of the public eye or how they look. That's about, what, 90% of pop music is today. It sells, so if you want to make money, that's the surefire way to go... however icky it may be to hear Randy Savage sing.
