Kurt Angle defeated Randy Orton in the opening match of the King of the Ring tournament. The long-time WWE tradition will continue on Friday Night SmackDown as Matt Hardy will face Booker T. On the previous SmackDown, Booker T donned a cape and crown and proclaimed it was only a matter of time before he became king. Lashley took exception to the comments and speared him for his troubles. Can Booker rebound and defeat Matt Hardy? Hardy, meanwhile, is coming off an impressive win against the Road Warrior. Will he ride his momentum all the way to the throne?
After Angle defeated Orton on SmackDown, he reapplied the dreaded ankle lock multiple times and broke the Legend Killer’s ankle. Frustrated that he lost his World Heavyweight Championship without being pinned or submitting, Angle is on the war path. What will the Wrestling Machine have in store for this week’s SmackDown?
Also, last week Daivari formerly introduced everyone to his new monstrous associate – The Great Khali. This mountain of a man hails from the jungles of India and checks in at more than 7-feet tall and more than 400 pounds. The duo warned Undertaker that The Great Khali is the real phenomenon on SmackDown. Will the Deadman respond?
Don’t miss all of this and much more this week on Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 CT on UPN.
