More tributes came flooding in for murdered rapper Proof at his funeral in Detroit yesterday (April 19).
Eminem was amongst the hundreds of mourners who congregated at a Detroit church, saying the D12 rapper made him who he is.
He said: "Without Proof, there would be no Eminem, no Slim Shady and no D12."
Eminem went on to tell a tale of Proof giving him a new pair of trainers when he was 16 because his other pair ran out. He praised Proof as a “people magnet,” reports the BBC.
Proof, real name Deshaun Holton, was Best Man at Eminem’s brief marriage to Kim.
Elsewhere in the service, D12 rapper Obie Trice called for an end to violence, saying: We're killing each other, and it's about nothing."
