WWE COO Michael Sileck announced this morning during the company’s First Quarter Earnings Release conference call that the second annual ECW December to Dismember PPV has been pulled from the WWE pay-per-view schedule. Sileck cited the fact that three PPVs in five weeks is “just too much.”
This does not come as a surprise as last year’s December to Dismember pay-per-view was a complete disaster. Despite an Elimination Chamber main event, only two matches were advertised, and the show only lasted two hours and ten minutes. The event prompted the expulsion of Paul Heyman as the lead writer for the ECW brand.
The event was scheduled to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina.
