5/12 WWE Smackdown/ECW house show results from Syracuse, NY
1. Rob Van Dam def. Marcus Cor Von in an Extreme Rules
Match
2. Mark Henry def. Jimmy Wang Yang in a match that
lasted about 5 minutes.
3. Tommy Dreamer and CM Punk def. Elijah Burke and
Matt Striker after Marcus Cor Von tried to interfere
but Rob Van Dam made the save.
4. Braddock (Roadkill) under an odd new name which I
didnt catch def. Sho Funaki. Braddock finished Funaki
off with an elbow bouncing off the top rope.
5. Kane def. Finlay. Finlay got probably the most heat
of the night, feigning fighting many fans.
6. In a three-team elimination match for the WWE Tag
Team Championship; Deuce and Domino def. Brian
Kendrick and Paul London and Gregory Helms and Chavo
Guerrero. Helms and Guerrero were eliminated first by
disqualification after staying in the ring illegally
too long, then about a minute later, Deuce and Domino
were able to pin Kendrick and London. Kendrick and
London reminded me a lot of the Rock n Roll Express in
this match.
7. Michele McCool def. Jillian Hall with Kristal as
the guest referee. Jillian argued with the decision,
Kristal whipped her into the ropes and gave her a
hurricanrana.
Main Event: Montel Vontavious Porter and the New World
Heavyweight Champion Edge def. Batista and Chris
Benoit. Kane came out afterwards when MVP and Edge
were beating down Batista and Benoit and chased them
off.
