The popularity of Joe Hendry is proving undeniable as the TNA star's WWE NXT debut has become the most viewed video for the promotion since WrestleMania in April.
Hendry competed on the June 18, edition of WWE NXT as part of a 25-man battle royal to decide Trick Williams' next challenger. Despite a massive pop for his entrance and a promo to the NXT crowd, Hendry was the first wrestler eliminated from the match. A backstage segment with Shawn Michaels has left fans believing there's more to come for the Scottish star in the Capitol Wrestling Center.
Hendry may not have won an NXT Championship opportunity but he's certainly winning over fans in and out of the CWC. On Twitter/X, WWE's video of Hendry's arrival in NXT is the most-liked video since WrestleMania and boasts 89,000 likes (and counting!)
In a tweet of his own, Hendry pointed out that this is WWE's most-liked video on Twitter since WrestleMania 40. Hendry also made clear that he's ready to appear anywhere and anytime on any show and tagged WWE NXT Head Shawn Michaels for good measure.
WWE's collaboration with TNA Wrestling is expected to continue forward, in another sign that this is a much different company than before. WWE also has plans to collaborate with Pro Wrestling NOAH and Marigold Wrestling next month. As for Hendry, the Scottish star's future continues to look bright both in TNA Wrestling and potentially as part of WWE NXT.
