Rush, and his father La Bestia del Ring, are no longer part of AAA after leaving the promotion with immediate effect.
Taking to his Facebook profile, Rush announced the decision to leave the promotion. He stated that he and his father will now be independent performers until a "real promoter" gives them a contract. Said promoter will presumably be based in Mexico, given that Rush is already contracted to AEW in the United States. Rush joined AEW at Double or Nothing 2022, where he aligned himself with former tag-team partner Andrade El Idolo. It wouldn't be until September 2022 that he was signed to a full-time contract.
Rush was scheduled to take part in the finals of Guerra de Rivalidades, where he and LA Park would take on Sam Adonis and Psycho Clown. As per the rules of the tournament, it is the losing team that advances, and in this case, the losers would have faced off in a mask vs. hair match at TripleMania XXXI: Mexico City.
Rush made his debut for AAA in December 2019 at the Triplemanía Regia event, where he defeated Pagano and L.A. Park in a three-way match. Later that month, Rush was renamed Rush El Toro Blacko and teamed at with Blue Demon Jr. and Rey Escorpión to defeat Psycho Clown, Dr. Wagner Jr., and Drago. Shortly after, Rush created the stable La Facción Ingobernable (based on Rush's Los Ingobernables group from CMLL). The group originally consisted of Rush, La Bestia del Ring, Killer Kross, L.A. Park and Konnan.
