In April 2024, Xia Li, along with names such as Jinder Mahal, Xyon Quinn, Veer Mahaan, and Sanga were released from WWE.

Li posted a statement on Twitter after her release, expressing gratitude to Triple H and others who helped her during her time in the company. Here is what she wrote:

"It has been over seven years since I joined WWE, and as the first female Chinese superstar, I feel incredibly proud! I am sincerely grateful to WWE and HHH for welcoming me into this big family.

During this valuable time, I have not only grown tremendously but also learned countless invaluable experiences. Thank you for your trust and the opportunities you have given me to break barriers and set an example.

A special thank you to all the coaches, colleagues, and staff who have helped me along the way.

Your support and assistance have made me feel at home in a foreign land.

I also want to thank all the WWE fans! Your cheers not only motivate me but also make me feel endless love and support. Your backing is my strength.

This journey with WWE has been wonderful, and I sincerely thank everyone who has been a part of it. This is not the end but a new beginning! Let's embrace more exciting moments together!

Female wrestlers such as Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane, Deonna Purrazzo, and Taya Valkyrie posted messages of support for Li after her departure."

Born in Chongqing, China, Li started her journey in WWE after a tryout in Shanghai in January 2017. She made her debut in the company at the first Mae Young Classic. This was the first time in the company’s history that a Chinese female wrestler competed in its ring.

In 2018, Li competed in the second Mae Young Classic tournament, and later went on to perform at NXT live events. After a stint at the black and yellow brand, she made her main roster debut in 2021, when she was drafted to SmackDown at the 2021 Draft, and later to Raw in 2023. During her seven-year tenure in WWE, she was part of the stable short-lived stable Tian Sha with Boa and Mei Ying, had a feud with Becky Lynch, and then pursued the NXT Women’s Championship Lyra Valkyria.
