Roman Reigns returns to SmackDown

After returning for the first time since WrestleMania and costing Solo Sikoa the chance to win the Undisputed WWE Title from Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns journeyed to SmackDown last week and went on a rampage that left The Bloodline in tatters. Will The Original Tribal Chief finish what he started with Solo and The Bloodline?

Your announcers are Corey Graves and Wade Barrett.

We begin with a look at what happened last week with the many versions of the Bloodline.

We see Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga arriving at the arena.


It is time for a celebration and your hosts are Tiffany Stratton, Kit Wilson, and Elton Prince.

Tiffany says it is Tiffy time to celebrate. She wants everyone to welcome her bestie and the current Women's World Champion . . . Nia Jax.

She is carried to the ring as if she was a Roman Queen.

Nia is presented her royal microphone and she comments on the pink and the unicorns. She tells Tiffany she shouldn't have and Tiffany says for everything that Nia did for her, she wanted to give back. She asks i it is perfect.

Nia comments on how much pink there is. Tiffany asks if Nia doesn't like it. Nia says this isn't her style. She says her style is more destruction and she proved it at SummerSlam when she destroyed Bayley. She says she proved she was a woman of her word when she said she would take the title from Bayley and she did. She is not only the Queen of the Ring, she is the Women's Champion. Nia says everyone better bow down to her. Nia says what better way than with Tiffy.

Tiffany asks Nia if she wants her to bow down and if she wants her to do it right now. She says she is so glad they are on the same page. She says Pretty Deadly have a song for Nia and then they will all bow down.

Kit says they have a brand new hit song for Nia and it is a sneak peek from the Pretty Deadly . . . THE MUSICAL. Elton says this song is Ode to the Queen.

Kit and Elton add a dance sequence into the performance but it is interrupted by Michin who hits Tiffany, Elton, Kit, and Nia with a kendo stick.

Tiffany and Nia escape the ring so Kit and Elton get hit many more times by the kendo stick.

Backstage:
Jade, Bianca, and Naomi watch MONITOR in BACK. They talk about winning the tag titles back, but Naomi mentions their six woman tag match next week. While they talk about Naomi's match with Blair and Carmelo Hayes walks past and he says there will be an after party after he beats Andrade. They laugh at Hayes and walk away.


Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes

Hayes goes into the ropes to avoid Andrade when the match starts. Hayes rolls to the floor to try to get into Andrade's head. Andrade goes to the floor and Hayes returns to the ring. Hayes misses a kick to Andrade on the apron but Andrade with a kick. Hayes hits the ropes to crotch Andrade on the turnbuckles. Hayes with punches. Hayes with a kick to the back and he gets a near fall. Hayes with a springboard clothesline and he gets a near fall. Hayes with a knee to the midsection and Andrade with a drop kick that sends Hayes to the floor. Andrade knocks Hayes off the apron and then he hits a moonsault off the turnbuckles onto Hayes on the floor.

They return to the ring but Hayes rolls to the floor again. Hayes drops Andrade on the top rope and Hayes goes up top ad Andrade with a leg sweep and Hayes falls into the turnbuckles. Andrade is sent to the floor by Hayes.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Andrade chops Hayes on the turnbuckles. Andrade with a forearm and Hayes with head butts. Andrade sets for a superplex and Hayes blocks it. Hayes with another head butt but Andrade goes for Spanish Fly and hits it for a near fall. Andrade sets for the running double knee strike but Hayes with a super kick and he sets for a suplex but Andrade hits a suplex first and he goes for a second. Hayes counters a third Amigo into a cutter for a near fall. Hayes goes up top and he is caught by Andrade. Hayes with an O'Connor Roll for a near fall. Andrade gets a near fall. Hayes with a near fall and a kick. Andrade with a spinning back elbow for a near fall.

Andrade goes up top for a moonsault and he misses and Hayes rolls inward to prevent the AndradeSault. Hayes with a rollup for the three count.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

After the match:
Hayes tries to rub in the victory and Andrade slaps Hayes and he punches Hayes. Officials come to the ring to separate them and Andrade is sent to the floor while Hayes is held back in the ring.


Backstage:
Solo Sikoa sits on the TRIBAL COUCH and he is handed his necklace. Tama says when Roman shows up, he will rip him apart limb from limb. Solo says if Roman takes this back from him, then he becomes the Tribal Chief. Solo says Tama will acknowledge him and so will he. Solo says that is IF he can take these back from him.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at Giovanni Vinci and he intended return to Smackdown.

Naomi vs Blair Davenport

They push each other before exchanging forearms. Blair pushes Naomi into the ropes. Naomi slides under Blair and connects with a kick and Rear View. Blair rolls tot he floor. Naomi with a thrust kick in the ropes and a split legged cross body onto Blair on the floor. Naomi sends Blair back into the ring and Naomi goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Blair with a back breaker for a near fall. We see Blair hit a double stomp during the commercial break. Naomi with a head scissors take down. Both go for cross body presses at the same time and they both go down. Naomi with a running clothesline and a back elbow. Naomi with a kick and palm thrust. Naomi with a springboard round kick. Naomi with a split leg drop for a near fall. Blair with a sunset flip and Naomi rolls through and kicks Blair. Naomi with a hesitation drop kick into the corner and she goes for a split legged moonsault but Blair grabs Naomi by the hair and puts her in the tree of woe and she stomps the midsection. Blair with a Bea Trigger for the three count.

Winner: Blair Davenport


Backstage:
Grayson Waller is preparing for his match against Kevin Owens and Waller yells at Theory for throwing him under the bus. Theory says he will be there with him. Waller asks why does Owens have a title match and he suggests that Cody gets the easy win. Waller wants to know why Owens gets so many chances and he realizes Kevin is standing behind him. Kevin says he told Cody and Nick that he didn't deserve the match because of his win loss record. He says he probably lost to Waller. Kevin suggests that tonight will be an easy win for Waller. Kevin wants to prove it. Kevin asks what kind of idiot passes up a title match. Kevin says he wants to prove that he is a loser and a moron.

We go to commercial.

We see a graphic for the passing of Afa Anao'i.

We see Ethan Page in the crowd.


Kevin Owens vs Grayson Waller (w/ Austin Theory)

Owens with a drop kick as the bell rings and he punches and kicks Waller in the corner. Waller with a kick and knees followed by a jab. Kevin with a back elbow and a back senton. Kevin has a gesture for Theory. Kevin goes for a cannonball but Theory pulls Waller to safety. Kevin with a clothesline on the floor. Kevin sends Waller into the ringside barrier and then into the announce table. Kevin with a chop and then he sends Waller back into the ring. Kevin has some words for Theory and that allows Waller to slide to the floor and clothesline Owens.

Waller sits in a security person's chair and Owens pulls him over the ringside barrier. Owens clotheslines Theory and sends him into the time keeper's area. Waller sends Owens into the ring post and hits a DDT on the floor. Waller gets a near fall when they return to the rin. Waller goes to the turnbuckles and hits a springboard elbow drop for a near fall. Waller with a forearm in the corner and he puts Kevin on the turnbuckles. Waller sets for a superplex but Kevin stops Waller and punches him. Kevin with head butts and Waller falls to the mat. Kevin with a swanton for a near fall. Waller with a rollup for a near fall. Waller with a punch and he is sent to the apron by Kevin. Waller drops Keivn on the top rope and Waller with a slingshot move into the ring and Kevin kicks Waller and gives him a stunner. Kevin picks up Waller and hits a pop up power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Kevin Owens

After the match:
He sends Waller to the floor and sends him into the beverage area. Kevin sets for a power bomb onto the apron and Theory stops Kevin and Owens punches Theory. Waller sends Owens back into the ring. Theory gets a few chairs. Cody Rhodes' music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he stops Theory. Kevin and Cody use the chairs on Waller and Theory. Kevin thanks Cody and Kevin picks up the title belt before Cody can. Kevin hands it to Cody and pats him on the back before he leaves the ring.


Backstage:
Solo is in ROOM and he is fitted with the ceremonial neck piece by Tama. Solo says he loves Tama but tonight, Roman needs to acknowledge him. Solo breathes deeply.

We are back and Titus O'Neil is in the crowd tonight.

We go to DINNER at RESTAURANT with Legado.

Santos says they have gotten complacent and they have been ignored, demeaned, and undermined week after week. Don't forget who you are. Santo says they are Legado del Fantasmo. That's not just a name, it is a legacy. They will not have it diminished. Next week, he says he will take the US title from LA Knight. They have forgotten the taste of fear so let's remind them. Santos says they know what needs to be done. They need to win that title and send that piece of trash back to the trailer park he came from.

LA Knight makes his way to the stage.

Knight says he wants to talk to ya and he says that looked like a fun dinner. He says that Santos told his goon squad not to forget who he is but Santos is trying to be him. You will forget where you are next week when he knocks his churro into the dirt with a BFT. Knight says he doesn't have time to deal with some halfwit calling him trash. Knight says he might be trash but with a bit of flash and he will put Santos on his ass. Knight says he will still be US Champion.

Michin is greeted by Chelsea and Piper for ruining the celebration. Green says they tried to warn Tiffy and Piper says that Nia doesn't like Tiffany.

Green says she would have done it but they enjoyed watching Mia doing what she did.

Michin says she has a title match next week against Nia.

Green is not happy.

Nia sends Michin into a door and Nick tells NIa to leave.

We see Trick Williams in the crowd for the next match.


Number One Contender Match
Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford (w/ B Fab) vs Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa

Ford and Johnny start things off and Ford with a wrist lock. Johnny with a drop toe hold into a front face lock. Ford tries to roll through but Johnny holds on. Ford with a reversal and Johnny kicks Ford away. Ford with a leg sweep and cover. Johnny with a leg sweep and cover. Johnny misses a kick on a rollup and Ford does a moonsault but lands on his feet when Johnny moves. Ciampa and Angelo tag in. Ciampa with a side head lock and Ciampa with a shoulder tackle but Dawkins bounces off the ropes with a shoulder tackle and a corkscrew back elbow. Ford tags in and hits a drop kick and then Dawkins back drops Ford onto Ciampa. They give Johnny a double flapjack. Dawkins with a wacky lap shoulder tackle.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Johnny with enzuigiris and a knee to Dawkins and a bulldog and clothesline combination. Johnny is sent to the apron by Ford and Johnny kicks Dawkins from the apron. Johnny with a slingshot spear for a near fall. Ciampa tags in and Ford pushes Ciampa into Johnny and Dawkins tags in. Ford is sent into the turnbuckles by Ciampa and Ciampa does the same to Dawkins. Dawkins tosses Ciampa into Ford for a belly-to-back suplex. Dawkins goes up top and he misses a swanton. Ciampa with a running knee for a near fall. Johnny tags in and they hit a knee and kick combination in the corner. Dawkins blocks a slingshot DDT and Dawkins with a back drop.

Ford tags in and Johnny with a head scissors to Dawkins. Johnny and Ford with pescados to the floor. Ford and Johnny with clotheslines at the same time. Ford with a punch and Johnny responds. Johnny with a kick and Ford with a super kick. Johnny with a super kick for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ciampa with a knee to knock Dawkins off the apron and Ford with a rollup for a near fall. Ford with a Zig Zag and he goes up top and he connects with a forearm to Johnny on the apron. Ford goes up top for a 450 splash but Ciampa gets his knees up. Johnny and Ciampa with Shatter Machine for a near fall. Dawkins is sent to the floor. Ciampa tags in and Dawkins pulls Johnny to the floor. Ford with a jumping knee and Dawkins tags in. They hit a Low Down and neck breaker combination for a near fall. Johnny sends Ford to the floor. Ciampa with punches and Dawkins punches back. Johnny tags in and he kicks Dawkins when he goes for a splash. Ford is sent over the top rope to the floor. Ciampa with Fairy Tale Ending and a super kick but Dawkins kicks out.

Ford pulls Ciampa off the apron and Johnny with a suicide dive. Dawkins with Revelation when Johnny goes for a slingshot spear. Ford tags in and they hit the Doomsday Blockbuster for the three count.

Winners: Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford


We are told that Dawkins and Ford will get their title match next week.

Next week, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi face Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, and Blair Davenport. LA Knight faces Santos Escobar for the US Title.

Solo Sikoa makes his way to the ring with Tama Tonga.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Solo stands in the ring with Tama Tonga and he tells Orlando to acknowledge him.

Solo says he sees how it is and that Orlando doesn't want to acknowledge him. Solo says he knows one man who needs to acknowledge him. Solo tells Roman that if he calls himself the Tribal Chief or OTC. If you want this back, then bring your ass out here and take it from him.

Roman's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Roman punches Solo and Solo punches back. Roman with a flying clothesline. Tama attacks Roman from behind and punches him. Tama falls victim to a uranage.

Roman rearranges the announce table and he sets for a power bomb but Solo stops Roman. Solo punches Roman. Solo sets for a Samoan Spike but Roman with a Superman punch. Roman sets for a spear and he hits it.

Roman tosses the tag title belt aside and he grabs the tribal necklace. Roman prepares to put it on and he succeeds.

Roman breathes a sigh of relief.

Jacob Fatu with a super kick and the necklace comes off. Jacob punches Roman.Fatu sends Roman shoulder first into the ring post. Fatu with a running hip strike into the corner. Fatu sends Roman to the floor and they set for the Cerberus Bomb through the announce table and Roman goes through the table. Tama gets the necklace while Fatu sends Roman back into the ring. Tama puts the necklace back on Solo.
