Former AEW World Champion Hangman Page is expected to return soon to AEW television.

Page has been away from the programming since early March after competing in a three-way match for the AEW World title against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland at AEW Revolution. Ahead of the title match, there had been talks of his potential time off and eventually, he went on a hiatus.

As per Fightful Select, 'Hangman' has been out of action due to "personal reasons" and he had "contractually obligated time off." It has come to light that after being away for almost four months, Hangman Page is "poised for a return."

The date of his return is still not locked in but he is expected to make his comeback within early July. The creative plans are him are unclear. However, it seems he will continue being a heel going forward.

The outlet further reported that there is no clarity if his absence is added to his current deal or whether it was worked in. However, it is noted that the wasn't a surprise and both the parties involved were aware.

Next week's edition of AEW Dynamite and Rampage will take place in Fairfax, VA and despite hailing from the same state, the Halifax-born wrestler is not expected to be a part of the show.

Ahead of his hiatus, Page was involved in a feud with Swerve Strickland, who is the current AEW World Champion. Swerve is set to put his title on the line against AEW International Champion Will Ospreay at the upcoming Forbidden Door event on June 30. There is a huge possibility that Page might go after his arch-rival upon his comeback to continue his quest to claim the World title.
