WWE reportedly had an issue with Ricardo Rodriguez's physique not being up to their standards and set a weight goal that they wanted him at and in their mind, he was having trouble keeping to it.

Rodriguez was working under both a talent contract and an announcers contract. WWE felt his addition as the third man on the Spanish broadcast team was too much with the on-going budget cuts.
