The idea of WWE going hi-def was brought up at an "Ask the Chairman" meeting last year, an annual opportunity for WWE employees to ask Vince McMahon direct questions about the product. At the time, McMahon indicated there was concern about it being cost-effective with the number of hi-def homes out there, plus there was concern about hi-def exposing too much of the worked nature of wrestling matches. USA Network also is not as big on hi-def as other cable networks at this point, so there's no pressure at this point to upgrade.
