Hartwell recently won the NXT Women's Championship at Stand & Deliver 2023. After grinding on the developmental territory for years, she finally rose up the ranks and captured the gold.

During a spot in the match at Spring Breakin', Stratton attempted a dive from the top rope onto Hartwell and Perez outside the ring. However, the sequence seemingly did not go too well, as Hartwell's leg was caught in an awkward position under Stratton as she landed.

The champion then needed medical assistance following the spot. It appeared that the match fell apart at some points because of spots that had to be changed since Hartwell was being checked on at ringside. Hartwell was taken to the back but came out in the final moments of the match to retain her title.

Hartwell was seemingly in a lot of pain when she went back into the ring. She continued the match despite what looked like a severe ankle injury and she has been praised for that.
