WWE could soon be working closely with promotions in Puerto Rico and Mexico, as part of the promotion's newfound willingness to work with other companies.

WWE is looking to establish alliances and agreements with companies in both Puerto Rico and Mexico, Lucha Libre Online reports. No specific promotions have been named but WWE has already "knocked on the door" of promotions in both areas. Promotions in these areas include CMLL, AAA, IWA, and others.

WWE is no stranger to either location, with several events having been held in Puerto Rico and Mexico. Puerto Rico served as the host of New Years Revolution in 2005 and more recently, last year's Backlash Premium Live Event.

Like Puerto Rico, Mexico has a rich wrestling history and WWE has played a part of it. Next month, WWE will return to Mexico City and Monterrey for a series of live events as part of the promotion's 'SuperShow Summer Tour.'

WWE's efforts to forge partnerships in Puerto Rico and Mexico is just the latest move by the promotion to broaden its collaborative horizons. In 2024 alone, WWE has partnered with All Japan Pro Wrestling, TNA Wrestling, and Josh Barnett's Bloodsport.

Whether these plans for Puerto Rico and Mexico come to fruition or not, WWE has plenty of plans already laid for working with other promotions. Next month, IYO SKY will compete for Marigold, the new promotion forged by Rossy Ogawa. SKY previously worked with Ogawa in STARDOM and its been reported that he also hopes to bring in Kairi Sane for an upcoming Marigold show.

Next month will also see AJ Styles compete for Pro Wrestling NOAH. The Phenomenal One's long-awaited return to Japan will see him face Naomichi Marufuji, the current Vice President of NOAH. The match will be Styles' first non-WWE match in Japan since his celebrated run in New Japan Pro Wrestling came to a close in January 2016. The match will also be Styles' first NOAH match throughout his lengthy career.
