Cody Rhodes and CM Punk proved to be as popular as ever at the recent WWE Clash At The Castle event in Glasgow, Scotland.
The June 15, event marked WWE's first Premium Live Event in Scotland and the second event under the Clash At The Castle name. A total of five matches took place including a match that saw Scotland's Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn capture the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.
With fans from around the world descending upon Glasgow, WWE opened its own Superstore in the St. Enochs Center shopping complex. There was also plenty of merchandise available at the OVO Hydro where Clash At The Castle took place.
Cody Rhodes once again dominated the merchandise sales, Fightful Select reports, which has become a trend for the American Nightmare. Rhodes-related merchandise included a themed tee featuring his logo with the Scottish flag, as well as signed belts. In the show's opening contest, Rhodes bested AJ Styles in an I-Quit Match.
CM Punk didn't wrestle at Clash At The Castle, but that didn't prevent the Best In The World from also being one of the best-selling stars. In the show's main event, Punk screwed Drew McIntyre during his World Heavyweight Championship match with The Judgment Day's Damian Priest.
A Scotland 3:16 shirt was among the weekend's top-selling items, despite there being no 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at either Clash At The Castle or SmackDown. WWE's next European PLE will come this August when the Bash In Berlin takes over Germany.
