Buddy Matthews was laid out by The Patriarchy on AEW Collision, though that unfortunately may be the least of the wrestler's problems.

The June 15, edition of AEW Collision saw Matthews, alongside Brody King and Malakai Black, take on the Bang Bang Gang. Mere minutes into the match, Matthews left the bout after suffering what appeared to be a knee injury. He was helped to the back by officials as the match, now three-on-two continued in the ring.

Despite being a man down, Black and King continued to bring the fight to the Bang Bang Gang. When the BBG looked like they had the match won, PAC appeared and distracted them. This gave Black the opening he needed to hit his finisher to get the pinfall victory.

The show went off the air with Christian Cage claiming that the House of Black, which Matthews is a part of, is no longer a trio. The camera then revealed that Matthews had been attacked by The Patriarchy. The faction led by Cage then laid a painting of Christian over Matthews. The painting in question had been introduced as a gift for Cage earlier in the night. The House of Black ran to the back to check in on him.

It's currently unclear whether Matthews' mid-match injury was legitimate, or if it is a storyline angle that allowed him to be without his allies for The Patriarchy's attack. Whatever the case may be, keep checking in with SE Scoops for all the latest updates on the former AEW Trios Champion.
