Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley are to star opposite each other in 'London Boulevard', the new crime drama which is based on the book of the same name by Irish author Ken Bruen.

Variety reports that the film marks the directorial debut of 'The Departed' scriptwriter William Monahan, who adapted Bruen's book for the screen.

'London Boulevard' tells the story of a London criminal who, after being released from prison, tries to live a normal life by working as a handyman for a reclusive actress.
The film will begin shooting this summer in and around London.
