WWE Kids Magazine: One of the Hottest Launches of 2008
November 13, 2008
WWE Kids magazine was recently named one of the 14 hottest new magazines launched this year by Min Magazine. Dr. Samir Husni, known as “Mr. Magazine”, and his staff sifted through 600-plus titles that were launched between October 2007 and September 2008 to come up with the unranked list. WWE Kids joins WSJ, the new Wall Street Journal luxury magazine, and National Geographic’s Green Guide magazine.
WWE reaches over 2.6 million 6-14-year-olds each week through television and the WWE Kids magazine leverages this growing audience segment by providing them with age appropriate content. WWE Kids’ pro-social messaging empowers children and is viewed favorably by parents because it focuses strictly on Superstars, not the in-ring action, ensuring the imagery is suitable to the entire 6-14 age range of the magazine.
Following WWE Kids magazine is WWEKids.com. Similar to the magazine, the website is designed to “edutain” kids with original material about WWE Superstars. Content includes interactive online puzzles, original Superstar interviews, games and consumer products. Both the magazine and website highlight ways kids can get more involved in their communities, and better themselves, in keeping with burgeoning WWE initiatives focused on education, literacy and volunteerism.
