Twenty-four hours before UFC 126, the entire MMA world is anxiously awaiting the result of Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort. Perhaps no one more so than Yushin Okami.

The Japanese middleweight has been promised a title shot against the winner of Silva-Belfort, and he told MMA Fighting on Friday that he expects Silva to walk away with the belt for a UFC record 8th consecutive time.

Okami said he didn't know when his title shot will come, and there are some who believe he may have to wait longer than expected if the UFC does end up booking the Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre.

Okami (26-5) secured the title shot when he beat Nate Marquardt at UFC 122 in November. He defeated Silva via controversial disqualification in 2006.
