Angry Backstage Reaction to Vince McMahon Being Very Hands-On at Monday's Raw

Vince McMahon reportedly had a significant influence on this week's post-WrestleMania edition of Monday Night Raw, which saw changes made to it.

WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium turned out to be massively successful. The following night, fans attended the often-eventful 'Raw after WrestleMania' at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

While Triple H remains to be the Chief Content Officer after WWE was sold to Endeavor, Vince McMahon will be involved in the creative aspect "on a higher level." Despite McMahon himself stating that he won't be "in the weeds" of WWE's creative process, he was said to be very hands-on and “firmly back in charge” of the show's production.

According to PWInsider, there was a “huge negative shift” in morale. WWE wrestlers willing to speak on the matter said it felt like things were going back to “exactly where they were” before McMahon left last summer.

One source went as far as saying, "the place felt nuked”. However, some talents “more or less shrugged it off” because they always believed this is what was going to happen eventually. The outlet reported that while McMahon was on headset producing a few times over Wrestlemania 39 weekend, he was in the gorilla position for most of last night's Raw taping, directly overseeing the proceedings.

The feeling was that McMahon will be “overseeing everything again” going forward. Chances are there that McMahon won’t be at every show going forward, and it only happened last night because he was in LA for WrestleMania weekend and the Endeavor deal announcement.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer spoke also about Vince McMahon's involvement at Monday's Raw. Meltzer confirms McMahon made significant changes to Raw before and during the show. "That was tonight and that will be what it is going forward," Meltzer said.

CNBC recently noted that the company was in advanced talks with Endeavor, the parent company of UFC. A deal was finalized and an official statement was issued on Monday. It was noted that under the deal, UFC and WWE would be combined into one publicly traded company to be worth around $21 billion. Endeavor purchased 51% of WWE, with 49% being retained by WWE shareholders.

In a statement, Endeavor announced a "definitive agreement" that would see WWE come under the company's ownership in an estimated $9.3 billion deal.

We will now have to wait and see if Vince gets more involved in the backstage roles.

Maybe since Vince does not "own" WWE anymore, he just wants to show people that he can still be in charge, even though Nick khan is. He is getting old, no amount of hair dye or a horrible looking porn mustache can hide that fact. Even though he sold WWE and made money, that must have taken a bit of his heart out at the same time.
